Advanced Wireless Embedded Systems Development Internship - Greater San Diego Area

MaXentric works on next generation mobile platforms. Our technology has attracted customers, including 4G cellular base-station integrators, NASA, the Navy and DARPA. Our team spans multiple disciplines including software developers, DSP/FPGA/Multicore experts, and wireless network communications experts. As an intern you will be involved with design decisions from the ground level of bleeding-edge technologies in a startup-like environment. This internship will be located in MaXentric’s California office, downtown La Jolla.

Because of the technical challenges of our projects we are looking for students who are curiosity-driven and who have an interest in working on future generation advanced communications systems. For our work with advanced wireless ad-hoc/mesh network development we are looking for interns that will help with development of new network routing protocols in both embedded Linux and Android environments. We are looking for students with good programming experience (C/C++, Java) in both those environments, combined with a solid network communication understanding (for instance TCP/IP, WiFi, Bluetooth). Hands-on familiarity with real-time systems and network programming is a definite plus.

Overall, we are looking for internship candidates with innovative and energetic personalities who are willing to explore new ideas and are strong team players with excellent communication skills.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
