Internship Program

Build Your Skills and Network

Maxentric’s internship program provides opportunities for interns to perform high-level work, make meaningful contributions to projects, pursue their specific fields of interest, and receive in-depth mentorship from award-winning engineers. Maxentric rewards interns who do well: about 1 in 4 interns who complete our internship program eventually transition to full-time employees.

Maxentric’s internship program is designed to be highly flexible and accommodating of students’ needs so they can continue doing well in school. We value academic excellence and encourage interns to take the time they need to maintain their academic performance.

Our philosophy is to develop the abilities of all our team members, especially interns, because it results in the development of higher-quality products and services. In addition to gaining industry-level experience, interns at Maxentric are welcome to fully participate in our friendly and flexible environment and take advantage of all company perks including parties, food, and team-building tournaments.

This is us

About ¼ of interns transition to full-time employees.

Choose between any of our three locations: Fort Lee, NJ, La Jolla, CA, and Boulder, CO.

Work on real projects with our engineering team. Here, you are a valued contributor, not a paper pusher.

What makes MaXentric different from other companies is that we’re special. You have kind and smart people here that for the most part, get along. We know life is more than just work. Great leadership that trickles down the company culture. Work hard, play hard. We are very diverse. We’re colorful in all aspects.

  • What makes Maxentric different from other companies?

I like that MaXentric is open to the learning process. The people here are very encouraging when there’s ups, downs, and times of feedback. Learning something shouldn’t be stressful and will take time to become a skill.

  • How did you feel when you were offered a full-time position at the company?

Excited! I feel very fortunate to have a full-time opportunity available to me soon after I graduated.

  • What makes Maxentric different from other companies?

MaXentric allows the employee to learn with the help from qualified engineers but also by making mistakes. They encourage employees to learn different skills by participating in different projects instead of cornering them into a single job.

  • What makes Maxentric different from other companies?

My perspective of myself and my friends outside of work is that I am one of the few if only people that seem content with their position without any major complaints. I feel that I can easily walk up to either Woods or Kamran if I have any concerns over anything, I enjoy the variety of projects, and I feel that things are relatively flexible in terms of being able to work remotely or vacation time, etc.

  • How did you feel when you were offered a full-time position at the company?

Great, loved the work-life balance I had established and wanted to keep working with the project I started.

  • What did you like the most about your internship experience?

What I liked most about my internship experience was the mentorship from my direct supervisor and subject matter experts. From the day I first stepped in, I felt there was an actual goal to my project, and I was presented with the tools to see it through. Compared to a previous internship at a big-box military contractor, I felt like I was solving a relevant issue and those around me wanted to see my success and growth.
