This internship will be located in MaXentric’s California office, downtown La Jolla or our New Jersey location in Fort Lee, just outside of Manhattan.
Job Description
In this engineering internship position, you will gain hands-on experience working with experienced engineers in the analysis, design, measurement and characterization of a wireless communication system. Work activities will include: circuit simulation, lab testing of circuits, presentation of design expectations/results, and participation in design reviews.

• Receiver path testing and design
• RF Front development
• Analog circuitry
• Contribute in designs and developments in support of advanced RF systems and digital signal processing (DSP) for wireless communications
• Develop and implement design verification test plans at top level.
• Design DSP algorithm for controlling linear and nonlinear RF circuit and system including multipath propagation equalization, digital predistortion and phased-array beamforming.
• Apply computer science, electrical engineering and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target application.
• Demonstrate your algorithm using hardware in collaborate with cross functional members.
• Report your progress to supervisor.
• Support and participate in overall system development.
Qualifications
We are looking for an undergraduate or graduate student. You should have an interest in wireless communication systems and analog/mixed signal design. Additionally you should have excellent written, presentation, and communication skills, keep an up-to-date lab notebook, and be self-motivated and adaptable.
Candidates should have course work and be familiar with the following areas/tools:
• Analog design including, but not limited to, integrators, differentiators, switched capacitor networks, comparators, inverting and non‐inverting Op-Amps.
•Digital Signal Processing, sampling, FIR, IIR filter design.
• Software: Matlab, Cadence, PSPICE/LTSPICE or equivalent
• Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters, function generators, power supplies).
• Must be majoring in electrical engineering, emphasis in analog design preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Expecting to graduate and pursue full-time employment within 2 years
• General technician skills such as soldering, PC board trouble-shooting & repair are an advantage.
