Biosensors
MaXentric pushes the boundaries in biosensing/imagery technology with a diverse range of projects that provide unique, utilitarian solutions for practical applications. Geared towards aiding a variety of clients for the military and law enforcement, MaXentric’s biosensing portfolio remains ever expanding and extensive in its ground-breaking field.
Project SWEAT™
SWEAT™ is a wearable patch that harvests bio-energy from sweat to power integrated medical sensing electronics for health monitoring. This enables prolonged monitoring via a wearable device without the need for battery recharging/replacement, ideal for resource constrained environments.
SWEAT™ aims to introduce an energy efficient solution for clients such as civilian and military first-aid responders to aid in patient monitoring through the continuum of care.
IBIS™
To real time collection of gastrointestinal health markers, IBIS™ (Ingestible Bio Sensor) delivers a small, consumable capsule to record human gastrointestinal functions. The IBIS capsule transmits data to a “wearable transceiver patch” via ultra-low power wireless magnetic human body communication. Sensing capabilities span chemical parameters/analytes such as pH, lactate, ascorbic acid, temperature, and potentially many more.
The wearable transceiver also acquires supplementary physiological data, such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, through skin-contact sensors.
All information is then transmitted to a smart phone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). IBIS™ would serve as a tool for healthcare professionals in the field to immediately identify and address health concerns that otherwise would require lengthier and/or more invasive alternatives.
