Dr. Paul Theilmann operates as a Lead Engineer at MaXentric Technologies, responsible for directing efforts in wireless biomedical circuit design, integrated software defined radios and radar based sensor systems. He leads a team of engineers that integrate complex electronics designs, with a focus on custom ASICs and integrated systems.
Dr. Theilmann’s research background encompasses microwave circuit design and research, as well as development on wireless communication systems and biosensors. His vast portfolio and research spurred prolific commercialization of wireless electronics equipment at MaXentric. Dr. Theilmann’s projects include radar systems for non-contact vital sign sensing, ultra-low power EEG monitors, self-powered sensors powered by energy derived from sweat analytes, power efficient communication systems, ingestible sensors, software defined radios, and wideband power amplifiers. Dr. Theilmann earned a BS, Masters, and Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
